    Overview

    Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer for its ISV team, aimed at enabling customers to build the future of communications. The position is integral to the sales team, responsible for securing technical wins and ensuring product fit for customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with Account Executives for pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFPs, design documentation, and technical presentations.
    • Lead technical and product sales, recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on using Twilio’s APIs.
    • Establish trust with customers by understanding their technical needs to design and demonstrate innovative solutions.
    • Deliver engaging and complex product demonstrations and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Identify and resolve problems proactively for customers and within the organization.
    • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and mentoring less experienced engineers.

    Requirements

    • 8+ years of pre-sales experience in selling complex, technical products or 10+ years in a technical support role with customer-facing experience.
    • Excellent communicator and presenter, able to gain audience confidence.
    • Ability to understand customer communication needs and guide them to technical solutions.
    • Previous software development experience or knowledge in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
    • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

    Location

    This role is remote but not eligible for candidates in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Pennsylvania, or the San Francisco Bay Area.
