    Overview

    This role involves leading the product strategy for GitLab's next generation of engineering insights. The Principal Product Manager will shape how GitLab turns engineering data into decision-ready intelligence, contributing to both product and platform work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define the multi-horizon roadmap for GitLab's data analytics and insights platform.
    • Partner with engineering leaders to shape core platform capabilities supporting analytics experiences.
    • Collaborate with the Knowledge Graph product team for connected, cross-lifecycle data insights.
    • Design a tiered analytics experience meeting customer needs with conversational AI and dashboards.
    • Prioritize dashboards and insight workflows for software leaders.
    • Champion engineering leader needs translating into product decisions and roadmap priorities.
    • Enable internal teams to build and use dashboards for customer-facing work.
    • Drive a consistent analytics narrative across product, marketing, and analyst conversations.

    Requirements

    • Experience in defining product vision and executing across multi-team programs.
    • Background in building analytics, dashboard, or business intelligence products.
    • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and common engineering performance measures.
    • Understanding of data infrastructure, pipelines, APIs, and business intelligence tooling.
    • Able to transform ambiguous customer problems into clear product requirements.
    • Strong influencing skills across engineering, design, sales, and data teams.
    • Familiarity with AI-powered analytics experiences or related data exploration approaches.
    • Comfort with technically complex products and discussing data and workflows.
