Overview
GitLab is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to join its all-remote R&D PMO team. The role involves owning complex, end-to-end programs central to GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps strategy, driving high-priority initiatives across product, engineering, data, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical programs across product, engineering, data, and security, from initial scope through launch and ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leaders and senior stakeholders to translate strategic vision into actionable roadmaps.
- Coordinate distributed teams across time zones using effective asynchronous communication.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Partner with customer success and cross-functional teams to refine communication and operational workflows.
- Champion GitLab's values and culture within programs.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical program initiatives in product, engineering, data, or security environments.
- Demonstrated ability to define strategy and create clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Strong background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps technology.
- Proven experience influencing and driving impact at various organizational levels.
- Excellence in cross-functional leadership and engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to translate technical complexity into business impact.
- Ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
