The role of Public Sector Strategic Account Executive involves serving government accounts in Canada, focusing on enterprise sales experience in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers.
• Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process.
• Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
• Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management and coordination with sales and support resources.
• Contribute product ideas to the public issue tracker as the voice of the customer.
• Generate qualified leads and develop new customers with strategic channel partners.
• Prepare activity and forecast reports.
• Communicate lessons learned to the team regarding wins/losses.
• Utilize a consultative approach to address business needs and develop formal sales proposals.
• Collaborate with Marketing on marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Desire to see customers benefit from their investment.
• Proven account management skills with minimal supervision on complex projects.
• Experience in selling to large organizations.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools.
• Ability to use GitLab.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
