Renewals Manager - West @GitLab

Overview

As a Renewal Manager at GitLab, you'll manage the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for a defined portfolio of customers, focusing on protecting and growing recurring revenue. The role involves engaging with customers prior to renewal, leading commercial discussions, negotiating agreements, and ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the renewal lifecycle for assigned customer contracts from engagement to signed agreement.
• Develop and execute account-level renewal strategies to protect recurring revenue and reduce churn.
• Prepare renewal proposals, pricing quotes, and contract documentation.
• Lead negotiations with customer stakeholders on pricing, terms, and timelines.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with Sales and Customer Success.
• Monitor customer health and satisfaction signals to surface at-risk renewals early.
• Maintain accurate renewal pipeline and forecasts in CRM for reporting and planning.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure timely and smooth renewals.

Requirements

• Experience in managing the renewal process for subscription or SaaS contracts.
• Background in B2B subscription-based businesses with a track record of meeting renewal goals.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts while prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to build relationships and navigate complex procurement processes.
• Experience in collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to structure renewals.
• Strength in identifying renewal risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Willingness to learn GitLab's platform and processes.
• Ability to travel for events and meetings.
