The United Nations University (UNU) is inviting applications for a research position focused on long-term governance and future generations. This opportunity allows professionals to work at the forefront of global policy and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Supporting direction and oversight of programs on future generations and governance.
Research & Policy Development: Producing high-quality, policy-relevant research for global decision-making.
Partnership & Donor Engagement: Managing relationships with donors and building funding streams for research initiatives.
Collaboration: Working closely with international organizations and stakeholders within the United Nations system.

Requirements

Master’s degree in international relations, political science, futures studies, or business administration.
At least three years of professional experience in foresight or futures thinking.
Proven ability to produce policy-relevant research on long-term governance.
Experience in multicultural environments, especially within UN or similar institutions.
Fluency in English and French (additional UN languages are an advantage).

Benefits

Annual net salary between CHF 80,000 and CHF 88,000.
30 days of annual leave.
Health insurance coverage.
This role is under a Personnel Service Agreement (PSA) contract for six months, with the possibility of renewal.
