Overview
The Senior Application Engineer role is part of the IT Function within the Mozilla Infrastructure team, focusing on workplace technology. The position involves designing, building, and maintaining systems and automations that power Mozilla’s workplace technologies, enhancing collaboration and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scripts, APIs, and workflow automations for key workplace systems.
- Develop services or integrations connecting collaboration tools and internal systems.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for automation workflows.
- Contribute to secure onboarding and off-boarding workflows.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and People teams to ensure compliance standards are met.
- Participate in pilot projects for new AI and productivity capabilities.
- Contribute to code reviews and documentation of shared libraries.
- Partner with senior engineers to modernize workplace systems.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in software engineering or workplace technology development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
- Understanding of IAM/SSO systems.
- Experience with CI/CD and workflow orchestration.
- Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills.
