Key Responsibilities

• Lead back-end development, maintaining server-side logic.
• Own services from deployment to operation, ensuring their health in production.

• Participate in an on-call support rotation to address production issues and maintain application reliability.
• Rotate into support roles as needed, managing releases and handling incoming work requests.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools effectively to enhance productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align backend systems with project goals and API design.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and system reliability standards.
• Conduct security and privacy reviews to ensure compliance with data protection measures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development, especially with back-end technologies.
• Professional experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization.
• Hands-on DevOps experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Docker.
• Experience with observability tools like Sentry and Grafana.
• Strong commitment to producing quality work with good judgment in trade-offs.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers in code quality and process improvements.
• Experience with performance/load testing, IaC tools such as Terraform, and contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
