Overview

The role of Senior Content Marketer at Mercury involves shaping and growing exceptional educational and informational content for founders and entrepreneurs, enhancing their decision-making processes. The successful candidate will manage the operation of Mercury’s educational blog in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of Mercury’s educational blog, including content planning, assignment, editing, publishing, and ongoing optimization.
• Write, edit, and package outstanding content across blogs, newsletters, campaigns, and other strategic initiatives.
• Manage freelancers and agency partners while ensuring high-quality work.
• Collaborate with SEO, Product Marketing, Communications, and Design teams to maximize content reach and impact.
• Utilize performance data and audience insights to identify growth strategies and enhance content performance.
• Leverage AI and modern content tools to improve workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, or editorial roles.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a track record of uplifting the work of others.
• Proven experience leading a blog, newsletter, or scaled editorial program.
• Ability to manage freelancers and external contributors effectively.
• Strong command of business, entrepreneurship, or finance with the capacity to engage audiences.
• Excellent editorial judgment and a marketing mindset.
