Overview
Instacart is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive innovation at the intersection of systems, analytics, and business strategy. This role allows for flexible remote work from most U.S. states, except California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.
Key Responsibilities
- Bridge Data & Business Needs – Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
- Own Data Initiatives End-to-End – Transform ideas into high-impact projects with clear deliverables.
- Build Decision-Making Tools – Design and automate dashboards, models, and reporting systems.
- Support Revenue Accounting – Build and maintain data products for the Revenue Accounting organization.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance – Apply compliance-first design principles and enforce data governance.
- Maintain Data Integrity – Implement validation and reconciliation frameworks for financial datasets.
- Drive Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Leverage AI & Next-Generation Analytics – Utilize AI technologies to enhance financial data analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years (7+ preferred) of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering roles.
- Strong SQL and cloud data fundamentals; experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools.
- Experience building complex data pipelines with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
- Familiarity with financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement across technical and non-technical teams.
