Overview

As the Senior Director, People Business Partners at GitLab, you will serve as a strategic partner to multiple C-level executives and lead a global team of People Business Partners. The role focuses on translating business priorities into talent strategies that drive organizational transformation in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior people partner to GitLab's C-level executives and their teams, shaping and executing a global people strategy to accelerate growth and effectiveness.
• Architect and lead organizational transformation, including design and workforce planning, adapting to rapid shifts in the business due to AI developments.
• Drive talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development to ensure the organization meets its long-term goals.
• Utilize people analytics to provide insights into organizational health and inform strategic decisions.
• Provide coaching and counsel to executives on leadership effectiveness and navigating complex people challenges.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure talent needs are met across company programs and policies.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of People Business Partners, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements

• Proven track record in leading people strategy through significant organizational transformation, particularly in enterprise technology or SaaS environments.
• Ability to influence decisions and build alignment across multiple functions in a fast-moving global organization.
• Experience in establishing and scaling a People Business Partner team.
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to advise leaders in high-stakes situations.
• Proven effectiveness in leading teams across time zones in a remote work setting.
