Senior Engagement Manager - Germany @GitLab

Overview

GitLab is an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, enabling organizations to increase developer productivity and accelerate digital transformation. The Senior Professional Services Engagement Manager focused on Germany will play a key role in driving GitLab's growth by structuring services engagements that create partnerships and measurable outcomes for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisor relationships with division chiefs, program managers, and technical leaders.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand capabilities, requirements, and desired business outcomes.
• Design outcome-oriented services proposals aligned with customer success metrics and objectives.
• Develop custom-scoped statements of work (SOWs) and staffing plans for complex implementations.
• Articulate GitLab's services value proposition and maintain customer relationships during engagements.
• Drive measurable outcomes by structuring services that support customer success metrics.
• Manage project- and account-level escalations, ensuring rapid resolution and maintaining customer confidence.
• Foster a culture of enablement by training teams on positioning and selling professional services.

Requirements

• Experience structuring, scoping, and selling professional services engagements in the region.
• Proven success operating in a pre-sales context and designing outcome-oriented proposals.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence.
• High-level facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting.
