Overview

The Senior Financial Partnerships Manager for Lending at Mercury is responsible for managing and evolving strategic partnerships critical to the company's lending infrastructure. This role is highly cross-functional, sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, compliance, legal, operations, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of strategic lending partnerships critical to Mercury’s banking infrastructure.
• Build and maintain Mercury’s lending partner ecosystem to support long-term banking strategy.
• Serve as the internal expert on lending management systems.
• Negotiate contracts, manage partner performance, and support regulatory readiness.
• Lead new partner selection, due diligence, and onboarding for lending partnerships.
• Translate partner requirements and regulatory considerations into actionable plans.
• Advocate for Mercury’s roadmap while balancing regulatory and partner expectations.
• Communicate Mercury’s compliance posture and technical architecture to external partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant banking/payment operations experience and 4+ years of strategic partnerships or B2B/payment product experience.
• Experience managing or working closely with lending management system providers.
• Strong partnership leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Empathetic and able to navigate highly regulated environments.
• Strong product sense and understanding of how financial infrastructure impacts customer outcomes.
• Effective negotiation skills in complex commercial and regulatory discussions.
• Technically inclined or comfortable interacting with engineering and compliance teams.
