    Overview

    GitLab is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst focused on Cloud Hosting to join their Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role involves providing analytical support for cloud and AI infrastructure investments, helping to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and report on cloud and AI-related expenses, maintaining forecast models that incorporate actual results and business drivers.
    • Execute month-end close activities, including accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
    • Support forecasting and annual planning cycles, enhancing financial models to answer evolving business questions.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, procurement, accounting, and finance to gather inputs and resolve data questions.
    • Analyze cloud billing information, translating findings into narratives and decision-support materials.
    • Utilize AI tools to automate and improve finance workflows while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
    • Communicate progress and risks proactively and manage changing priorities in a distributed environment.

    Requirements

    • Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting, with exposure to vendor spend and forecasting.
    • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, capable of working with detailed data and investigating variances.
    • Ability to translate complex information into clear narratives for cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Effective prioritization, independence, and clear communication in an asynchronous work environment.
    • Experience with cloud and AI vendor spend is preferred.
    • Cloud cost management and FinOps experience is a plus but not mandatory.
