Overview

GitLab is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Repository Management team within the Source Code stage. This role involves building and maintaining features that enhance repository configuration, ensuring safe and efficient developer experience as AI agents write and manage code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested features and improvements using Vue.js and GraphQL.
• Transform complex requirements into clear solutions while ensuring system reliability.
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to create intuitive interfaces.
• Utilize AI agents to enhance delivery efficiency while ensuring quality.
• Monitor production health metrics and participate in on-call troubleshooting.
• Share knowledge through code review and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Vue.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript concepts, accessibility, and frontend performance.
• Experience in solving complex policy or rules-based issues in web applications.
• Familiarity with unit and acceptance testing frameworks.
• Experience with Git and collaborative code review processes.
• Clear communication skills in English, with the ability to influence in a remote environment.
• Ability to manage priorities independently and navigate ambiguity.
