Senior Full Stack Engineer @Oddball

Overview

Oddball is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join Oddball Labs, serving as a senior technical contributor. This role reports to the VP of Architecture and involves working across diverse projects and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on software solutions ranging from prototypes to production systems.
• Collaborate closely with architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to explore new ideas and technical approaches.
• Work with various technologies, languages, and frameworks depending on the problem space.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI/ML and Generative AI.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and establish good engineering practices within Labs.
• Support architectural decisions and provide guidance to less senior engineers as needed.
• Contribute to technical discovery, experimentation, and rapid learning across the team.

Requirements

• Strong general software engineering experience with the ability to work across different tech stacks.
• Comfort in ambiguous problem spaces with evolving requirements.
• Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern development workflows.
• Experience developing or integrating generative AI applications.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them thoughtfully.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
• Strong grounding in security, privacy, and accessibility principles.

Location

This position is Hybrid/Remote, but candidates must be located in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) for in-office collaboration.
