Overview
As a Senior People Analytics Analyst at GitLab, you will help leverage people data to support informed decision-making within the organization. The role involves collaborating with the People Technology & Analytics job family, focusing on analytics solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Translate technical outputs into clear visualizations and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Write advanced SQL for building, validating, and maintaining scalable data models.
- Collaborate with the Data team on data pipelines and workflow automation.
- Apply statistical methods to identify trends in people data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for surveys, including design, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage people analytics intake and provide support to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain documentation for data definitions and reporting solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in analytics, preferably in People Analytics or related fields.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Proficiency in R or Python for statistical analysis.
- Experience designing and analyzing team member surveys.
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Workday reporting and analytics automation is a plus.
