Overview
The Center for Global Development (CGD) is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support the Global Evidence Advisory Panel on Skills (GEAPS), focused on workforce development in low- and middle-income countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate overall project delivery and ensure timelines and objectives are met
- Support Secretariat operations, including workflows and communication systems
- Assist in recruiting expert panel and steering committee members
- Contribute to fundraising, donor proposals, and reporting
- Lead the design and implementation of systematic reviews on workforce skills
- Compile and analyze literature, conduct cost-effectiveness and econometric analysis
- Co-author flagship reports and policy briefs, manage review and endorsement processes for publications
- Develop and execute communication strategies with CGD and partners
- Organize stakeholder engagements and workshops
- Build partnerships with intermediary organizations and global stakeholders
Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics, public policy, international development, or related field
- At least 8 years of professional experience in policy research or analysis
- Proven experience conducting systematic reviews or large-scale evidence synthesis
- Strong quantitative and econometric skills (Stata, R, or Julia)
- Experience in workforce development, labor markets, or skills policy (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
