Senior Producer @Axios

Overview

Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news and information in an audience-first format. They are seeking a creative, highly organized Producer/Senior Producer to help grow Axios’ original video portfolio, supporting original video programming including The Axios Show and other editorial formats across various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce video from ideation through scripting, shooting, post-production, publishing, and promotion.
• Shape ideas into pitches, treatments, scripts, shot lists, and run-of-show documents.
• Partner with editorial and video leaders to develop creative concepts and deliver engaging video aligned with Axios’ voice.
• Lead or support field, studio, and remote-based productions.
• Work effectively with journalists, executives, guests, and on-camera talent.
• Coordinate work across internal teams, freelancers, contractors, and production partners.
• Create video optimized for YouTube and other platforms, focusing on audience retention and distribution.
• Use platform trends and performance insights to inform creative decisions.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of relevant video production or editorial experience.
• Demonstrated experience producing, shooting, and editing professional video content, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Strong editorial judgment and visual storytelling skills.
• Experience producing for YouTube and knowledge in audience development.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working with on-camera talent and strong project-management skills.
• Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, comfortable with changing priorities.
