Senior Product Manager, Growth @GitLab

Overview

GitLab is the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, enabling organizations to enhance developer productivity and operational efficiency while reducing security and compliance risks. The Growth Senior Product Manager will own GitLab's self-serve product journey, from initial interaction to paid conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the self-serve journey end-to-end, spanning signup, trial, activation, and monetization.
• Utilize product usage and event data to identify high-impact growth opportunities and maintain a continuous test-and-learn cadence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to scope and ship experiments, addressing cross-functional dependencies early.
• Define success metrics for initiatives and link roadmap decisions to customer and revenue outcomes.
• Operate autonomously with a small team while owning the roadmap and its outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in product management, specifically with a self-serve or product-led growth funnel.
• Strong technical understanding of software construction, packaging, and deployment.
• Proficiency in SQL and a hypothesis-driven approach to product decisions.
• Experience with experimentation and A/B testing, demonstrating a record of measurable product improvements.
• Ability to work directly with production usage and event data.
• Highly independent, pragmatic, and action-oriented.
• Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable in an async distributed team.
