Overview
Elastic is seeking a Senior Product Manager focused on Elastic XDR to enhance detection-and-response products by closely analyzing attack patterns and improving response times. This role involves end-to-end ownership of a core area within the XDR roadmap and collaborating with engineering and research teams to develop effective security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive detection, correlation, incident building, and response capabilities across various environments from requirements through to product shipment.
- Expand and maintain the telemetry and integrations for XDR using first-party and third-party data sources.
- Contribute to exposure and vulnerability management by prioritizing based on exploitability and reachability.
- Draft precise requirements for engineering without the need for follow-up clarification meetings.
- Represent the product in customer conversations, gathering insights to refine the roadmap.
- Ensure product capabilities are robust across different deployment models.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and go-to-market strategies.
- Create artifacts for stakeholder visibility, reducing the need for meetings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years in security-related technical product management or marketing, with 3 years in a relevant product development role.
- Hands-on experience with XDR, EDR, SIEM, or incident response either as a product manager or practitioner.
- Experience building products that rely on various third-party data integrations.
- Understanding of detection analytics and the current cyber threat landscape, with familiarity in AI security a plus.
- Strong technical credibility and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration in a remote environment.
- BS or MS degree in engineering, computer science, or information security is required.
