Senior Product Security Engineer II @Instacart

Overview

The role involves being a key member of the Security Engineering team at Instacart, focusing on researching, developing, and conducting offensive security techniques for a suite of products. The team ensures the security and privacy of Instacart’s offerings while fostering a collaborative environment conducive to learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct offensive security operations for product and internal tools.
• Deploy and operationalize a variety of security tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Share knowledge and mentor team members.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Penetration Testing.
• Experience in mobile app penetration testing, AI security testing, or cloud penetration testing.
• Experience with threat modeling, security assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize initiatives.
• Solid self-management and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of remediation techniques for application vulnerabilities.
• Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• Bug bounty research experience.
