Senior Professional Services Engineer - Japan @GitLab

Overview

GitLab is the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, enabling organizations to increase developer productivity and accelerate digital transformation. As a Senior Professional Services Engineer at GitLab, you will work directly with customers to deliver installation, migration, training, and advisory services to help them adopt GitLab successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements, including installation, migration, training, and advisory services.
• Plan big deployments ranging from single-node Omnibus installations to large reference architectures using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
• Lead migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments.
• Partner with Engagement Managers to improve delivery consistency.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers.
• Interface with GitLab's product and engineering teams for customer outcomes.
• Mentor lower-level Professional Services Engineers.
• Manage and deliver multiple customer engagements concurrently.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more Infrastructure as Code or Configuration as Code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
• Exposure to two or more cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage projects independently.
• Must be located in Japan with full working rights.
