Overview

The Senior Professional Services Project Manager at GitLab will manage complex projects from initiation through delivery and closure. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and global customers, leveraging experience in IT and software consulting projects while utilizing traditional and agile project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commercial projects, including executive stakeholder meetings and communications.
• Collaborate with GitLab Support, Engineering, and Product teams to resolve complex customer issues.
• Drive improvements to Professional Services project management tools, processes, procedures, and templates.
• Summarize key customer projects for monthly and quarterly reviews.
• Develop and manage delivery schedules, project scope, resources, and customer expectations.
• Manage customer escalations and coordinate with GitLab stakeholders for resolutions.
• Establish reliable delivery processes, metrics, and operational procedures.
• Align customers and team members to achieve forecast goals.

Requirements

• Experience managing complex IT or software consulting projects from initiation to closure.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedules, resources, and multiple priorities while delivering concise reports.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to identify project challenges and manage conflicts effectively.
• Experience in supporting timely revenue recognition and executing change orders.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as GitLab.
• Enterprise customer and Professional Services experience is advantageous.
