    Overview

    The Senior Program Manager within GitLab's Enterprise Technology organization will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs. This role focuses on advancing the enterprise IT strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, and translating strategic objectives into measurable outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own end-to-end program management for large-scale Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives, including scope definition and delivery tracking.
    • Define clear success metrics for each program and report status and risks to leadership regularly.
    • Partner with stakeholders to develop an understanding of underlying problems and desired outcomes.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment and facilitate decision-making across distributed teams.
    • Recommend and implement program governance and intake process improvements.
    • Translate complex requirements into actionable work plans for technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Anticipate risks and mitigate blockers proactively.
    • Contribute to a high-trust, async-first team culture, modeling GitLab values.

    Requirements

    • 6+ years of program management experience with a track record in Enterprise Technology & AI.
    • Ability to simplify complex processes and approach ambiguous problems strategically.
    • Experience earning trust and aligning with senior stakeholders across functions like Finance and Legal.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership.
    • Familiarity with Enterprise IT domains such as AI, security, and data.
    • Proficiency in program and project management methodologies; certifications like PMP or CSM are a plus.
    • Experience in a remote, globally distributed environment promoting async collaboration.
