Senior Software Engineer, AI-Native Data Warehouse @Juniper Square

Overview

Juniper Square is a technology company that focuses on enhancing private markets by unifying technology, data, and fund administration services. The Senior Software Engineer will be a key player in designing and operating production systems for their AI-native data warehouse, a product aimed at institutional financial clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-quality systems, APIs, and services for customer-facing product experiences.
• Own projects end-to-end, from translating requirements into technical designs to implementation and ongoing iteration.
• Build reliable, scalable systems that deliver value and enable engineering teams to move faster.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production health of the systems while ensuring performance and reliability.
• Contribute to technical design for complex projects and propose pragmatic implementation plans.
• Evaluate AI-generated code and integrate AI/LLM-powered capabilities into relevant projects.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and cross-functional partners to meet timelines and align solutions to business goals.
• Grow subject-matter expertise in Dex and understand specific customer needs and workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend and/or full-stack software engineering.
• Strong backend expertise with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid, or Django.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and cloud-native technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and operating services in production.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools and demonstrated AI Fluency.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and strong communication skills.
