Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Partner Merchant Interface) @Affirm

Overview

The role involves being part of the Partner Merchant Interfaces - Integration team at Affirm, which is responsible for the APIs that partners and merchants use to integrate with Affirm. The position requires contributions to critical projects, supporting teams and stakeholders, and ensuring a balance of speed and quality in work.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale, using either Python or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with building blocks of distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to transform simple problems into solutions that involve multiple software components, writing clear and extensible code.
• Comfortable with debugging large code bases and providing code review feedback.
• Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback-seeking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.

Location

This remote role is only open to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
