Mercury is a growing fintech company looking for a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen and evolve its frontend foundations. This role focuses on enhancing the frontend infrastructure to support product teams in delivering high-quality work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen the frontend foundations by evolving React, TypeScript, and Vite infrastructure.
• Utilize automation tools to help engineers resolve issues efficiently.
• Optimize testing platforms for fast feedback loops and high confidence.
• Maintain stable and ergonomic CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment.
• Drive observability by unifying technical metrics and developer sentiment metrics.
• Foster enthusiasm for frontend work and represent the team's efforts in larger venues.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of software development experience with a strong frontend focus and expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects across multiple teams.
• Strong communication skills, able to facilitate productive discussions across organizations.
• Experience maintaining internal libraries or platform tooling.
• A proactive attitude in helping other developers.
• Thorough understanding of modern frontend development tools and workflows.
• Willingness to tackle intricate aspects of the web platform.
• Ability to balance ambitious goals with practical execution.
