Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment @Instacart

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment at Instacart involves designing, building, and implementing software solutions to optimize and scale the Instacart platform and related technologies with a focus on fulfillment operations. This role is remote and employees can be based anywhere in the continental United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop highly scalable software using innovative computer science and software engineering principles.
• Analyze and optimize expensive SQL queries; perform ongoing testing and analysis of systems.
• Determine design solutions to problematic programming and analyze complex architectures.
• Leverage AI toolsets to accelerate development processes and set new standards for partner-centric products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent), or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience in lieu.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
• 2 years of experience with Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages.
• 2 years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems.
• 2 years of experience with client/server architectures and application architectures.
• 2 years of experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams.
• 2 years of experience using advanced AI toolsets in development processes.
• 2 years of experience deriving insights from complex data sets.
