Overview

The Ads DSE team at Instacart builds core capabilities for off-platform advertising, secure data collaboration, and related infrastructure. The role involves collaborating on the technical roadmap, modernizing data solutions, scaling integrations, and improving automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for scalable systems across off-platform workflows, cleanrooms, and taxonomy automation.
• Expand integrations with external advertising platforms and reduce reliance on third-party intermediaries.
• Develop reusable query templates and optimize data collaboration pipelines for performance.
• Champion security-by-design, data governance, and privacy compliance in all pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and set code quality standards.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for development and define related workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, especially in large-scale backend/data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and either Ruby or Go; strong API integration skills.
• Experience with data pipelines, Snowflake, AWS, and relevant privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
• Hands-on knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and their applications.
• Strong technical writing and collaboration skills.
