Overview

The role involves a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React Native development at Affirm. This position is part of the Repayment UX Engineering team, contributing to improving the financial lives of over 20 million people by building and owning user journeys for loan repayments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through problem-solving processes.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle.
• Identify and advocate for project, process, technology, or business issues, leading efforts to solve them.
• Support the availability of team artifacts by creating metrics and managing on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality by improving code review and design standards.
• Help develop talent on the team through feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in developing and architecting mobile applications, preferably with React Native.
• Proficient in Javascript/Typescript or similar languages.
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features or systems.
• Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
