Senior Software Engineer (Typescript / Frontend) - AI/ML @ClickHouse

Overview

The AI/ML Engineering team at ClickHouse builds and operates AI and machine learning products. This role involves designing, building, and operating products that enhance ClickHouse's offerings for agents and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack, from backend inference services to frontend interfaces within the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
• Create robust, scalable APIs that connect database capabilities with AI/ML inference systems.
• Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI/ML ecosystem.
• Integrate models into production systems with monitoring and evaluation.
• Participate in the daytime on-call rotation.
• Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces for complex AI functionalities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies.
• Backend development experience in TypeScript or Python, with a focus on API design and service architecture.
• High level of ownership with the ability to drive features from concept to production.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong frontend skills with TypeScript/JavaScript and React.

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI/ML deployment.
• Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines, with ClickHouse experience being a plus.
• Experience building data-oriented interfaces and visualizations.
