Senior Solutions Architect - AI & Platforms SME @GitLab

Overview

GitLab is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its global Solutions Architecture Center of Excellence. The role involves acting as a trusted technical advisor to help customers leverage GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as an AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) focusing on platforms.
• Lead technical discovery, architecture design, demos, and end-to-end evaluations (POC/POV).
• Drive AI-focused solution strategy, including competitive positioning and business value justifications.
• Own the technical strategy for assigned accounts and guide multi-team transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure successful platform adoption.
• Provide advanced technical guidance during the pre-sales cycle.
• Create reusable technical assets, such as reference architectures and best practice guides.
• Mentor other Solutions Architects and contribute to global initiatives for the Center of Excellence.

Requirements

• Expertise in GitLab’s product and customer personas.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AI, including designing or implementing AI solutions.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, software consulting, or connecting technology to business outcomes.
• Background in modern software development, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
• Ability to design and explain technical architectures spanning multiple teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Must be based in either Singapore or Australia with full working rights.
