Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Fivetran is looking for a high-performance, experienced engineer to be a part of a team of Site Reliability Engineers, responsible for the overall performance and reliability of Fivetran’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the ongoing reliability and robustness of Fivetran’s production infrastructure.
• Evolve systems by adding reliability into the product roadmap.
• Coordinate with support and sales requirements to re-prioritize or fix critical bugs.
• Ensure 100% availability by interfacing with engineering.
• Automate deployment of scalable artifacts to all environments.
• Monitor infrastructure vulnerabilities and collaborate with the security team for remediation.

Requirements

• Expertise in managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Buildkite, Pulumi, and ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems internals and administration.
• Understanding of cloud networking (VPNs, Privatelinks, GCP Private Service connect).
• Experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Java or GO programming.

Location

Remote (Hybrid model, requiring two days in the Oakland, CA office each week).
