Overview
GitLab is seeking a Senior Team Member Relations Partner to guide managers through complex team member relations matters across its global organization. The role involves leading sensitive investigations, coaching leaders through confidential workforce issues, and partnering with Legal and People Business Partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sensitive investigations, including interviewing team members and analyzing data.
- Coach and advise leaders on team member relations issues, including performance management.
- Support proactive programs to prevent workplace issues.
- Partner with Legal and People Business Partners on team member relations cases.
- Help develop and revise policies in alignment with GitLab's values.
- Analyze case trends and share insights to inform programs and policies.
- Contribute to organization-wide initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support the governance of team member relations policies across jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Progressive experience in employee or team member relations, including complex workplace investigations.
- Working knowledge of United States employment law relevant to team member relations.
- Experience in a distributed, global organization with awareness of different regulatory contexts.
- Strong ability to influence change and build support across functions.
- Clear communication skills and sound judgment in sensitive matters.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification from SHRM or equivalent is preferred but not required.
