Overview

The role of Site Reliability Engineer II at Jamf involves balancing development velocity with the reliability that customers depend on. This is a remote position available to candidates based in Australia, where you will collaborate with engineering teams and take ownership of systems to enhance reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams to maintain service level objectives and error budgets.
• Investigate production issues across application, data, infrastructure, and network layers.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, postmortems, and proofs of concept.
• Identify and eliminate sources of toil through automation and tooling.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers by sharing debugging and reliability techniques.
• Contribute to reliability improvements and tooling within the team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for supporting production incidents.
• Collaborate with other teams to drive the resolution of customer issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, SRE, IT, or production operations.
• Production troubleshooting skills and experience diagnosing issues across the stack.
• Hands-on experience operating production services on AWS.
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Proficiency in writing automation in a general-purpose programming language.
• Ability to apply AI effectively in SRE work.
