Software Engineer - Video @Twilio

Overview

Twilio is a remote-first company focused on shaping the future of communications. The Software Engineer will be part of the Voice Trust team, ensuring reliable voice communication solutions for Twilio's customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time services with high throughput and low latency requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver scalable solutions.
• Express ideas clearly in documentation and collaborate with leads and cross-functional teams.
• Scale complex distributed platforms globally while ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for Voice channel customer problems.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in large scale, distributed applications with JVM technologies.
• Experience building RESTful services and with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Experience with on-call rotations and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog).
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to evaluate AI-generated code.
• Strong Java fundamentals and ability to architect and debug code.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
