Brex is an intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter and move faster. The company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Acquisition Engineering team, focusing on enhancing customer acquisition and onboarding experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and lead the most consequential technical initiatives across Acquisition Engineering.
• Set technical direction for cross-team systems, including architecture and data quality.
• Partner with various teams to simplify handoffs and improve the customer experience.
• Conduct design reviews and implement operational excellence.
• Mentor senior engineers and develop future technical leaders.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to create scalable technical solutions.
• Advocate for AI-driven approaches in building customer experiences and engineering workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a record of technical leadership.
• Ability to drive complex problems to resolution without a narrow charter.
• Experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale systems in production.
• Strong product and business judgment to connect technical investments with customer outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across various functions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this role is $240,000 - $300,000, depending on various factors including location and experience. Equity and other forms of compensation may also be included.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in New York, requiring three days per week in the office with the option for up to four weeks of fully remote work per year.
