Solutions Engineer, SMB @1Password

Overview

1Password is looking for a Solutions Engineer to support Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB) as a trusted technical advisor. This remote role is designed for individuals ready to help customers navigate security and access challenges through effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical advisor for SMB sales opportunities, working alongside Account Executives.
• Lead technical discovery with stakeholders including IT administrators, security leaders, and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs).
• Conduct proof-of-value (POV) engagements that validate customer success criteria.
• Help customers evaluate solutions in competitive scenarios involving security vendors and SaaS security platforms.
• Respond to security questionnaires and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance demos, educational resources, and customer engagement.
• Some travel may be required for industry events and team offsites.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
• Effective prioritization and management of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security and identity concepts such as SSO, SCIM, or OAuth/OIDC.
• Understanding of developer workflows and familiarity with platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
