Sr AI Architect - Conversational AI @Twilio

Overview

Twilio is looking for a Sr AI Architect for Conversational AI, a role that is crucial to leveraging Twilio’s vast data ecosystem and unmatched communication scale to enhance customer engagement through AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive a long-term AI/ML architectural vision aligned with business goals.
• Own the strategic roadmap for Twilio’s ML/AI Ops platform and tooling.
• Evaluate and implement modern LLM architectures and optimization techniques.
• Lead architecture for agentic AI systems and stay updated on advancements in LLMs.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to align technical milestones with customer value.
• Mentor engineers while contributing hands-on to technical efforts.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6+ years focused on production-grade ML systems.
• Extensive experience with ML Ops and LLM Ops patterns.
• Deep expertise in the design and deployment of production-grade ML/AI systems.
• Strong understanding of the Context Engineering lifecycle in AI.
• Experience building cloud-based services using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or a closely related field.
