Brex is seeking a Staff Brand Designer to join its Design team, which comprises product designers, brand designers, content designers, operations, and marketing strategists. The company is known for its intelligent finance platform that serves customers in over 200 markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Brex’s brand identity system, including visual language, typography, color, illustration, and brand patterns.
• Define and maintain brand standards that balance consistency with creative flexibility.
• Translate company strategy and brand vision into compelling visual direction.
• Design and deliver new brand expressions that advance the identity.
• Lead high-impact brand work beyond the core system, including campaigns and product launches.
• Art direct and contribute to brand campaigns, collaborating with internal and external teams.
• Provide guidance and feedback to raise the quality and effectiveness of brand execution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in brand design or art direction, focused on identity systems.
• A portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and high-quality execution across identities.
• Deep expertise in typography, color, composition, and scalable visual systems.
• Strong ability to articulate design decisions and build alignment with stakeholders.
• Experience in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Practical experience using AI tools in the creative process.

Benefits

Brex offers competitive compensation packages, including an expected salary range of $187,000 - $234,000, dependent on various factors.

Location

This is a hybrid role located in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York, with a minimum of three days required in the office.
