Staff Data Engineer @Webflow

Overview

Webflow is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to take ownership of key initiatives across Data Platform Engineering, including data lake, event instrumentation, data quality, and data governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design data solutions across batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.
• Build reliable data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Iceberg, and Airflow/MWAA.
• Contribute to the evolution of data lake and data platform.
• Maintain and scale cloud data infrastructure with reliability and observability.
• Implement data quality, observability, reliability, and governance across data pipelines.
• Define and improve standards for event instrumentation and governance.
• Support GDPR and CCPA requirements for centralized PII handling and data residency.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Analytics Engineering and other teams.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and building production data pipelines.
• Strong experience with Spark and distributed data processing.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and CI/CD.
• Strong Programming and SQL skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and make pragmatic technical decisions.
