Overview
Twilio is a remote-first company that revolutionizes communications. The company seeks a Staff Security Engineer for the Threat Detection and Response team to solve technical-security challenges through collaboration with R&D Engineering and Business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations tasks, including on-call rotation and developing detective tooling and automation.
- Align the Detection and Response vision and strategy, ensuring timely delivery of multi-year roadmaps and projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and address challenges from various threat actors.
- Identify areas for improvement in the Incident Response program, considering organizational objectives.
- Perform technology research and architecture reviews to enhance security defenses.
- Build systems and services to simplify complex security problems.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal clients to enhance team impact.
- Provide mentorship and support for team development and success.
Requirements
- 3+ years of security engineering experience in a production-cloud environment.
- Expertise in security issues and technologies.
- Experience designing AI Agents and utilizing AI for threat hunting.
- Knowledge of detecting AI threats using the MITRE ATLAS framework.
- Advanced understanding of service-oriented architectures and security tools in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with SIEM and SOAR tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience in AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
