Overview

The Staff Software Engineer at LendingTree is a technical lead responsible for the design and build phases of projects, focusing on software solutions for complex technology products. This role requires a hybrid schedule in the Charlotte, NC office, with in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of complex technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance during software design and development activities.
• Assist in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.
• Support all phases of the SDLC and ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Provide training and mentorship to other engineers.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues promptly.
• Develop the most effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with other Engineers on task planning, prioritization, and execution within deadlines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience in building modern web applications using React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or MassTransit.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
