Overview

The role of Strategic Account Executive at GitLab involves managing a portfolio of industry strategic customers and prospects in southern Germany, helping them maximize the value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. This position includes driving sales and ensuring customer success through consultative approaches and collaboration with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support GitLab Industry ENT accounts.
• Develop account plans based on customer business needs.
• Utilize a consultative approach focusing on customer ROI and business case development.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process by engaging appropriate resources.
• Use solution selling expertise to respond to customer needs and identify partnerships.
• Conduct sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities in strategic accounts.
• Lead BDR activities with dedicated customer outreach.
• Discuss business issues and create formal sales proposals addressing customer needs.
• Analyze wins/losses to improve strategy.
• Provide leadership in pre- and post-sales processes and ensure successful product rollout and adoption.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of customer KPIs and business strategies.
• Strong usage of AI to enhance efficiency aligned with strategic growth thinking.
• Experience selling into complex enterprise organizations.
• Track record of consistent results and quota overachievement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially to C-Level executives.
• Experience with solutions selling and value positioning based on customer needs.
• Knowledge of Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
• Ability to use GitLab and adapt to temporary workload peaks.
• Willingness to travel if required.
