Overview
The role of Strategic Account Executive focuses on owning a set of Life Sciences accounts, managing deals from initial contact to deployment while partnering with Solutions Engineering and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a small portfolio of strategic Life Sciences accounts and a net-new target list.
- Build multi-threaded relationships across Engineering/Platform, Security, Risk, and Procurement.
- Run consultative discovery and build ROI cases tied to developer productivity and risk reduction.
- Drive evaluations/POVs including SSO/SCIM, auditability, data handling, and policy controls.
- Navigate vendor risk, legal, and enterprise procurement to close and deploy.
- Execute a land-and-expand strategy: from initial team to organization-wide standardization and multi-business-unit rollout.
- Provide customer feedback to Product/GTM and help refine repeatable playbooks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience closing enterprise software deals with consistent quota attainment.
- Experience selling into Life Sciences or similar regulated enterprise environments.
- Comfortable working with technical buyers and security stakeholders and able to earn trust from engineering teams.
- A proactive approach to building pipeline through outbound prospecting, creative sourcing, and relentless follow-up.
- Strong outbound and pipeline discipline with accurate forecasting and effective written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive as an individual contributor in a flat organization, demonstrating high ownership and a low ego mindset.
