Strategic Partnerships Manager - AI/API @Mercury

Overview

Mercury is seeking a technically-fluent partnerships leader to manage their presence in the AI and developer ecosystem. This role combines elements of business development and developer relationships, focusing on establishing strategic partnerships to integrate Mercury's financial infrastructure into various tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and close new partnerships with AI companies and developer tools.
• Manage the full partnership lifecycle from sourcing to activation.
• Build Mercury's presence in developer communities by attending conferences and engaging online.
• Define and execute a go-to-market strategy for the AI and developer ecosystem.
• Develop joint go-to-market plans with partners for co-marketing and launch strategies.
• Provide insights back into Mercury’s roadmap from the developer ecosystem.
• Establish Mercury as a financial infrastructure partner in the AI landscape.
• Forecast emerging distribution opportunities before competitors.

Requirements

• Technical foundation with an understanding of APIs and integration complexity.
• Proactive partnerships hunter with a history of sourcing and closing deals.
• Embedded in the developer ecosystem and recognized by technical founders.
• Commercial mindset to structure valuable partnerships and drive deal closure.
• Strong communication skills for presentations and technical writing.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for working with early-stage founders.
• Nice to have: experience in fintech, developer partnerships, or solutions engineering.
