Axios is a media company focused on clarity, trust, and essential coverage. The company is hiring an SVP, Product to enhance its product offerings, particularly in integrating AI into product development and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Product, Design, and AI Enablement, setting strategy, priorities, decision rights, and operating cadence.
• Translate company and functional goals into clear product opportunities, outcomes, and investment choices.
• Improve product management through expectations, coaching, and accountability.
• Establish a clear path from experiments to supported products.
• Make decisions on product development and maintain partnerships with senior leaders.
• Develop a model for evaluating and scaling product ideas while avoiding fragmentation.

Requirements

• Experience in senior product leadership within software, information services, or media.
• Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and ability to translate these into products.
• Technical fluency across product strategy, workflows, and data.
• Experience in prioritization and portfolio management.
• A proven track record of turning prototypes into supported products.
• The ability to create governance without bottlenecks.
• Skill in distinguishing meaningful product opportunities from less impactful interests.

Salary

Starting salary range is $285,000 - $315,000, plus a 25% bonus, dependent on various factors.
