Technical Accounting Senior Manager @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Senior Manager to support complex accounting matters and contribute to a strong internal control and reporting environment in a fast-growing SaaS company.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and prepare calculations to support conclusions and facilitate external audit reviews in accordance with US GAAP.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, leading significant changes.
• Work with external valuation specialists to ensure accurate and timely transaction valuations.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent operationalization and understanding of technical guidance.
• Support initiatives to enhance external reporting readiness and improve processes.
• Design and implement efficient, SOX-compliant accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with external auditors and consultants on accounting matters.
• Provide training and mentorship on technical accounting topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license required.
• 7+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting at a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
• Technical accounting expertise with experience drafting memos on complex transactions.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Netsuite and Workiva preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Location

This is a hybrid position based out of the Denver office, requiring two days in the office each week.
