    Overview

    StarTree is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their remote team in India. The role focuses on providing technical expertise and support to enhance customer satisfaction while working closely with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with field technical teams and Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve performance and configuration issues.
    • Provide exceptional customer support through tickets and Slack, leveraging Zoom for complex cases.
    • Document solutions, best practices, and lessons learned to contribute to the knowledge base.
    • Act as the voice of the customer, sharing feedback and trends with development teams.
    • Create internal tooling and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance team effectiveness.
    • Work both individually and as part of a team, aiming to delight customers and exemplify excellent customer service.
    • Support AI-driven innovations through advanced data technologies, including vector indexes.

    Requirements

    • 4-6 years of experience in Pre/Post-Sales or Customer-facing roles.
    • Hands-on experience with open-source data technologies.
    • Familiarity with modern OLAP systems such as Apache Pinot, Druid, or Clickhouse is a plus.
    • Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Presto/Trino is advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of OLAP, Analytics, Kubernetes, and SQL.
    • Experience with streaming technologies like Apache Kafka.
    • Proven troubleshooting skills across systems, applications, networks, JVM, and Linux-based applications.
    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services within a major public cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
    • Bonus: Certification in Solutions Architecture for a major public cloud.
    • Bonus: Degree in Computer Science focused on Data Science, Engineering, or Analytics.
